Climate Doctors cleaned the ducts and return air vents with their specialized equipment. The process took less than two hours and made a huge difference in the air quality of our home. Dryer Vent Cleaning Excellence review of Climate Doctors Our dryer vent hadn't been cleaned in several years so I set up an appointment with Climate Doctors to clean it. They had vehicle problems so called to let me know their technicians would be coming in a personal vehicle rather than a company truck. I appreciated their courtesy in letting me know about that! Two technicians arrived and got right to work, cleaning out our lengthy dryer vent to the roof. They also vacuumed all around our washer and dryer, which is almost impossible to do without pulling the machines out. I am very pleased with the work they did, the speed with which it was done and their courtesy. I would definitely recommend Climate Doctors for dryer vent cleaning. |

Air Duct System Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Free Energy Audit review of Climate Doctors I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for the Air Duct System Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Free Energy Audit. Ben and Will are extremely professional. They arrived on time and quickly went through each room of the house to count all of the vents. They then explained every piece of equipment and exactly what I could expect. They moved (and put back) anything they needed to. They laid down a blanket to catch any debris and just in case, they also cleaned up after themselves with a quick vacuuming. They were done in about an hour and a half (it's a 2 story house, approx 2000 sq ft). Great job! :) Mike showed up for the Free Energy Audit (which took about 20-30 minutes) and he went through the house checking the windows, appliances, hoses/cable connections (to the appliances), lights, insulation, etc. Afterwards, he sat down with me to go over what (from his inspection) appeared to be ok and what might need attention. For example, the windows are all original that came with the house. He called them "builder grade". Not very energy efficient. He listed prices of what they could offer for the items that could use attention. I was expecting some big sales pitch and a lot of pressure to purchase some of these services. That's not at all what I got. He gave me tips on a few washer/dryer hoses that I could get from Home Depot to change on my own and how I should take a water hose now and then to the AC condenser unit outside. He also commented about how most home owners replace windows in the rooms they use the most first, so the cost doesn't hurt as much all at once. In the end, I explained that I just can't afford to do any of the items on that list (windows/insulation) right now, hence why I bought the Big Deal on Angie's List. He said he understood, he gave me a packet to review and said if I had any questions or decided I wanted to follow through with any of it, to contact them at any time. That was it. No pressure, no "act fast now to save" pitch, nothing of the sort. Mike was very helpful, honest and professional. All in all, I had a very pleasant experience and would not hesitate to do business with Climate Doctors again. Thank you!! |

(They had an opening so we took advantage) the young gents who showed up were polite, clean cut and obviously knew what they were doing. Overall Good Work review of Climate Doctors Overall, I believe Climate Doctors were very professional. They were on time, polite, and did the job well for the most. The insulation was done well and quickly. My only concern was with the duct sealing as it was not fully sealed the first time. I primarily did this service based on my energy audit where I was shown a huge gap in the HVAC releasing a lot of cool air. When I went to double check the sealing after the service, I noticed the huge gap still there. The workers realized their mistake and fixed it, but it makes me wonder if everything was sealed properly particularly parts that I cannot see since this huge gap was very visible originally. |

They seem to have been quite thorough in the cleaning but left lots of dryer lint on the lawn outside the dryer vent and left some big dust bunnies on the carpet under one of the duct vents. We found these after they had left, and I'm sure they would have cleaned them up if we had asked them to, but we didn't know we had to check everything over. Also, now we understand that a duct cleaning always means there's going to be lots of dust circulating in the air and landing all over your house for the next several hours, but we wish they had just warned us of this in advance (put all your food away!). The home energy audit was thorough and helpful, with estimates offered for work to be done but no high-pressure sales at all. Overall Excellent review of Climate Doctors I usualy do not have anything good to say about contractors, but I feel compelled to let people know that I was treated exceptional, and was overall pleased, I had a few Contractors come to my home, none as professional as Climate Doctors, they made me feel as though they cared, not just trying to score a buck, I had done some research and these guys were right on que, they know the info and they want to help, I told them I am on a "BUDGET" who is not? anyways, they delivered a fair price, and a dang good job, even cleaned up SPOTLESS after they were done, I could see that that work was very hard, the attic was 145deg, and these guys did what was needed, they even were extreemly thankful for the drinks I had provided, to be honest as I was watching them do the work I kind of felt guilty, I had made the pitch that I could do it myself, I sure am glad that I had them do it and they left me with a good feeling, I would recommend these guys, they have a good sense of humor even though the jow was bad, I give them a 10. |

They quoted me a very competative, fair price and most of all didn't try to sell me something I didn't need like the other guys. I received a free energy audit, was given recommendations on how to make free improvements and do-it-yourself enhancements and suggested services they could provide. This pulled paint off our walls. Now we have to buy 3 colors of paint to hopefully match 8 year old walls and repaint around 7 returns. Paint isn't cheap and neither will be our time. For some reason, they couldn't get one of the vents to properly reattach flush to the wall, and it now protrudes from the wall by about an inch and looks terrible. In our attic, I can feel cold air escaping from several vents that weren't properly reattached. |

Overall Excellent review of Climate Doctors My wife and I recently had an energy audit done by Climate Doctors, and they made a series of suggestions that we could do ourselves to reduce heating and cooling loss, stating that the only thing they needed to to do was blow in insulation to R49 depth. They said that many homes benefit from a radiant barrier as well, but due to our unusual roof configuration, a radiant barrier might not be cost effective. I crunched the numbers and sure enough, a radiant barrier probably would result in a cost savings of less than $7 a month. It would take forever to pay off at that rate. We were very happy just blowing in 18 inches of insulation in the attic. Climate Doctors are honest, prompt, and they do their job very efficiently. |

I THOUGHT my air ducts needed cleaning. I called up climate doctors to schedule a quote and they offered to perform a FREE energy audit with no strings attached. They showed up and were straight up honest and told me my air ducts were fine and did not need cleaning. They also performed the free energy audit and told me what I could do myself to make my home more energy efficient. They even told me what to buy at Home Depot and how to install it myself. This was all done for free without me committing to any work from them. I was so impressed with them that I went ahead and had lifetime insulation blown into my attic. They showed up on time and were very professional. I believe the insulation will pay for itself within a year through the reduction of my heating/cooling bills. There is also a federal tax credit available right now which made this deal a no brainer. |

The owner showed up on time and took his time to explain everything to me during the free energy audit. I had no idea what all I could do to lower my utility bill. He was very knowledgeable about everything and I felt very comfortable. He did not pressure me or anything. He simply explained what could be done - he told me of the things I could do myself and also the things that I could do if I wanted to but that would be better to hire someone else to do the hard stuff. He prioritized the things also in order of most efficient and the most cost savings benefit in case I could not afford to get it all done at once. He then let me know about the rebate program. Thats a big help. I had them install more insulation (the builder only put in the bare minimum, surprise) and radiant barrier. I have already seen a difference in my bill since then. Paul Boyd is very knowledgeable and surprisingly forthright with ideas that will save you money (a businessman with principles and integrity). Climate Doctors had to reinstall my roof dryer vent, clean the stack and reseal everything. I no longer have a moisture problem and I can dry a load of clothes in 30 minutes instead of the 2 hours it was taking me.
