- Dryer Vent Cleaning
If you leave your clothes in your dryer longer than 30 minutes, you are wasting time and energy and your risking a fire. Consumer Product Safety Commission says that in the U.S. in the year 2000, there were 12,700 clothes dryer fires resulting in $99,400,000, that is over 99 MILLION dollars in damages. Why Insulate my Attic?Inadequate insulation is a leading cause of energy waste in most homes. Adding insulation saves money and also makes your home more comfortable and once the energy savings have paid for the installation cost, energy conserved is money saved.
How much insulation do I need?In many areas building codes require a minimum of an R-30; the "Department of Energy" recommends that attics have at least an R-49. The "DOE" is making that recommendation for many areas based upon the extreme heat that those areas experience three months out of the year.
Radiant heat accounts for 93% of the heat gain in your home. LO/MIT radiant barrier spray stops the majority of the sun's heat from ever entering the Attic. LO/MIT produces the lowest emissivity available in sprayed radiant barrier products; 0.24 or less.
This means LO/MIT blocks at least 76% of the radiant heat trying to enter your attic.
LO/MIT does not trap water (like some Latex based coatings) so you need not worry about mold problems.
